The complete line of self-contained and amplifier separated photoelectric sensor solutions from Panasonic are anything but basic. Due to the customized IC and optical design of the EX-L200, high precision detection is fulfilled with directivity and visibility achievable only by laser. The laser adopted is Class 1 (IEC / JIS / FDA) laser that is safe to use, so that there is no need to separate the areas of sensor usage.
A repeatability of 0.02 mm 0.0008 in or less at a range of from 100 to 200 mm 3.937 to 7.874 in makes this type best suitable for positioning applications (typical, EX-L221). Moreover, it boasts a top-class detection precision in the compact laser sensor category with the gold wire of ø0.01 mm ø0.0004 in.
The HG-C Series Laser Distance Sensor with a compact size of just W20 x H44 x D25 mm this sensor provides high-end performance in a small, lightweight package. Three measurement ranges (100mm±35, 50mm±15, and 30mm±5) are available with a measurement resolution ranging from 10 μm to 70 μm depending on the model selected. The built-in display assist in setup and operation, and I/O options include a 0-5V analog output alongside either one NPN or PNP transistor output as well as an external input.
The HG-C series is a micro CMOS laser sensor at W20 × H44 × D25 mm W0.787 × H1.732 × D0.984 in, 35 g approx. (without cable) The HG-C series sensors incorporating a new optical system with a built-in mirror provides smaller sensor depth as well as higher measurement accuracy equivalent to displacement sensors. Thanks to a precise CMOS image sensor, it is now possible to perform highly precise measurements in the order of 1/100 mm 0.0003 in. The existing adjustable range reflective sensors cannot achieve such accuracy.A light-weight but strong die-cast aluminum casing has been adopted. A compact, solid body casing reduces the impact of strain and heat on the measurement accuracy.
The world's thinnest sensor dimension of 3 mm 0.118in has been achieved by utilizing new semiconductor packaging technology that does not use wire bonding. The EX-Z small unit size allows installation of sensors in a narrow space where only a conventional fiber sensor head could be installed before. The built-in amplifier also saves on installation space.A slit is provided on the front side of the main sensor body. The sensor can detect a ø0.3 mm ø0.012 in object without using an optional slit.The high-brightness 4-element red LED provides strong light emission stably over a long period of time. In spite of the extremely small size, both front sensing and side sensing units can sense a small ø1.0 mm ø0.039 in object from a long distance of 500 mm 19.685 in. Since the spotlight is clearly visible, the sensing position can be easily confirmed.

With about half the light diffusion of previous models, narrow-beam models can detect minute objects with a diameter of just 0.5 mm (0.020 in), without slits. These models provide a reasonably-priced solution for applications requiring detection of minute objects. Narrow-beam models deliver long-range sensing at 1 m 3.281ft.
All you need to do is to make a ø4 mm ø0.157 in hole where you would like to stop or check the object (ø6 mm ø0.236 in hole for reflective type). Furthermore, the center of the sensing axis is the same as the center of the mounting hole, which makes it much easier to set the sensing position.

The optical system has been optimized. Since the sensor is hardly influenced at all by angles or the gloss of objects compared to the previous model, it is possible to detect both white objects and black objects at almost a constant distance. Because the sensor doesn’t detect objects outside the preset sensing field by using the 2-segment photodiode adjustable range system, it will not malfunction even if someone walks behind the sensing object or machines or conveyors are in the background.
LX-100's coaxial reflective optics and a sharp 1 x 5 mm 0.039 x 0.197 in spot enable high precision sensing. With the introduction of this 3 LED mark sensor, stable detection of marks is possible.
The 3 colors of the R・G・B LEDs are optimally selected according to the color combination. With the LX-100's Mark mode, the built-in "Automatic optimal LED selection function" automatically selects the LED for the largest contrast (S / N ratio) between the mark and base (non-mark area) to ensure optimal sensing. For more stable detection, the sensor makes selections according to the contrast and not according to the reflected light variation between the mark and base (non-mark area).
This sensing mode automatically selects a single color from the 3 R・G・B LEDs to achieve an ultra quick 45 μs response time. The automatic optimal LED selection function automatically selects the LED that is most suitable for the sensing. This function is perfect for ultra quick sensing.
The SF4D series features a slim and robust unit body and new high power optical system. The tough unit body prevents entry of liquids and dust. The new series ensures stable and reliable operation of safety light curtain even under an inhospitable environment.
The internal unit was redesigned and downsized extensively. The internal unit was downsized to less than 40% (volume ratio) as compared to the conventional model while achieving higher performance.
The SF4B-C series features a proprietary double structure of a “plastic body” with a “metal inner frame” which lightens the weight while maintaining the durability. Despite its compact, plastic body, the SF4B-C series features a metal inner frame that increases toughness and also keeps its enclosure not to curve. The SF2C features easy beam axis alignment and reduced wiring. Safety light curtain wiring consists of just five wires each for the emitter and receiver, allowing you to easily implement safety measures in about the same amount of time as with an area sensor with using optical synchronization.The SF2C series is made of resin that is lighter than the conventional aluminum case type*. Its lightweight body eases the burden on the mounting surface of the equipment and contributes to overall reduced weight.
One Panasonic SF-C21 can do the work of four safety relay units.Simple to wire the units in the control panel! Compact with a height 97 mm 3.819 in × width 45 mm 1.772 in. The safety laser scanner is used as an interlock that checks the reflection of the emitted laser and permits machine operation only when a person or an object is not present. Because it performs monitoring using invisible light, it is effective in wide areas that could not be enclosed by a safety fence or locations that become less efficient for work when they are concealed by a door or cover.Two zones can be widely monitored with Panasonic SD3-A1, the warning zone (within a radius 15 m 49.213 ft) and the detection zone (protection zone) (within a radius 4 m 13.123 ft). The contours of these zones are fully configurable for a perfect fit in every application. Up to eight zone patterns can be set and switched over at any given time, even during operation.
